 Pay: $17.00/hour - $20/hour based on experience
Schedule: Part-time | Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week | Flexible morning availability preferred, weekend availability required
Seasonal Exception: Full-time availability is required during The Big E

Position Summary

The Bristol Bazaar is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-driven Part-Time Guest Experience Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with previous hospitality experience who understands the importance of creating a positive, polished, and welcoming environment for guests.

The ideal candidate is personable, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of both guest-facing responsibilities and daily upkeep tasks. This position plays an important role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience while also helping maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the shop and event space each day.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner
  • Create a positive guest experience by offering thoughtful service and maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately
  • Handle cash and assist with register balancing at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks to help maintain a clean, polished, and guest-ready environment
  • Maintain cleanliness of the retail space, including sweeping, dusting, tidying, mopping as needed, and trash removal
  • Clean and reset the event room between rentals or uses
  • Perform light restroom upkeep throughout shifts, including restocking toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other essentials
  • Help maintain the overall presentation and organization of the shop, including front-of-house and shared spaces
  • Assist with merchandising, display upkeep, and general store organization
  • Import and print barcode labels from vendor emails as needed
  • Support basic administrative and clerical tasks such as labeling, filing, and inventory-related projects
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for in-store events, seasonal experiences, and special projects
  • Follow company procedures and contribute to a safe, secure, and well-run environment


Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, guest service, retail, or customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable with routine daily cleaning and taking pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming space
  • A natural ability to make people feel welcome and comfortable
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude
  • Comfortable multitasking and working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Comfortable handling cash and learning POS systems
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Flexible morning availability preferred, with weekend availability required
  • Must be available to work full-time hours during The Big E
