We're located in the Bristol Bazaar
Having an interest in woodworking as a child, and ready to work for myself, in 1986, I started building furniture, which lead me to refinishing furniture. I worked at this fulltime for 25+ years and after losing a brother to cancer, I decided it was time to get away 70+ hours a week running my own business, in 2005 I decided to close it and go to work for Home Depot, a company that had intrigued me. I hated it and after two years, against my better judgement, I went into Grocery Store Management. I lasted four years only due to the need of paycheck. On November 11, 2011, I quit. Still too young to retire, I had to decide on something to do. While talking to my wife and oldest daughter about my future, I joked that maybe I would become a stay-at-home Papa and watch my Grandkids. Their eyes lit up, and that joke became my life for the next seven years. Once they were all in school, and I was officially retired, and bored, I decided to start the Salem Wood Shop, specializing in handcrafted wooden primitive signs. That was back in November, 2011 and that basically brings us to today.
